Fund Strategy

NetZero OZ Fund’s strategy is unique in the Opportunity Zone space - rather than focusing on real estate development projects that can take several years to mature, where profits are realized toward the end of the fund lifecycle, NetZero focuses on investment in solar and battery storage projects. NetZero's strategy includes partnering directly with municipal city offices, who then market NetZero's program to local homeowners directly.

Fund Overview

Net Zero Project Benefits:

  • Produce an immediate return to our investor of their initial capital in the first two years.
  • Structure investment so need to pay capital gains tax is eliminated
  • Serve as a catalyst for a job training program teaching participants to install solar panels and program batteries.
  • Reduce the carbon footprint
  • Reduce the utility bills of homeowners, renters, churches, and businesses in these low-income areas by up to 50-80%
  • Provide solar and battery turnkey systems in Opportunity Zones at zero cost. We do this by combining the Opportunity Zone Tax Code, Solar Investment Tax Credit Tax Code, Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), City/State Renewable Energy Rebates/Incentives/Programs, etc.
